What is the difference between Boran and Tswana cattle

The Boran is a Bos Indicus breed and the Tuli is a Sanga typeBoth originated in East Africa and are smaller than the Brahman. Sanga cattle are, however, thought to be genetic intermediaries, with some Bos indicus and some Bos taurus. The Tuli probably have little Bos indicus.  It can therefore be said, that as a breed, Holsteins are most efficient converters of roughage into high quality milk and beef. Holsteins have the highest milk productions in the world and produce good quality meat.

Originating in South Africa as a scientific experiment of professor Jan Bonsma, the Bonsmara was created after many cross matings and back-crosses consisting of five-eighths Afrikaner (Sanga-type), three-sixteenths Hereford, and three-sixteenths Shorthorn (both taurine types).

Are Tswana Nguni?

Autosomal and Y-chromosome data group the Xhosa, Zulu, Swazi and Ndebele into the Nguni group, while the Tswana, Pedi and Sotho form part of the Sotho group. The Venda and Tsonga groups were separate. These groupings are also observed in the linguistic data, except for the Tsonga, which group with the Nguni.

Who came first, Sotho or Tswana?

It is commonly believed that the Sotho are the ancestors of the Tswana. Further, both groups are believed to be related as they share the same ancestor, Mogale. A great Sotho chief called Masilo had three sons who are alleged to have established the Kwena, Ngwato and Ngwaketse tribes all of which are Botswana tribes.  Tswana cattle for sale.

Are there Tswana people in Zimbabwe?
They are a large and diverse group of people who speak Sotho-Tswana languages. The group is predominantly found in Botswana, Lesotho, South Africa, and the western part of Zambia. Smaller groups can also be found in Namibia and Zimbabwe.  The breed is a variety of West African Shorthorn. Generally, two types of Muturu cattle have been identified: a larger Savannah-type and a Dwarf-Forest type, which appears to have evolved through adaptation to the humid forest environment.
